Today: Ọbameri

Ọbameri is an orisha of Ilé-Ifẹ̀ linked with war and death, a friend of Odùduwà and a general of Odùduwà's party in the Ìtàpá conflict against Ọbàtálá. Bascom recorded a cult in the 1930s whose worshippers centred on one or two descent groups, with a priest, Olokore, who buried certain abnormal deaths. Lange, drawing on his field notes of 2000-02 and on Fabunmi, describes high priests, a grove and a staff.

A different Òrìṣà greets you each day.
